Empowering Entrepreneurs in Tanzania

Biashara Initiative is a Tanzanian-based enterprise dedicated to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs—especially women, youth, and marginalized communities—through practical business and entrepreneurship training. Founded in 2022 by Zuhura Mussa Bakari, the organization delivers accessible, affordable, and inclusive programs that equip participants with the skills, mindset, and confidence to launch and grow sustainable businesses.

Through both physical and online sessions—including WhatsApp, Instagram, Zoom Meeting, Google Meet Linkedln, WhatsAppChannel, and community-based group programs—Biashara Initiative is closing the knowledge and opportunity gap for underserved entrepreneurs across Tanzania.

Zuhura Mussa Bakari

Founder & CEO

Zuhura is a passionate business coach with over 2 years of experience training and mentoring entrepreneurs across Tanzania. She was awarded 2nd Runners-Up for Edupreneur of the Year (Over 30 category) at the SHE Awards 2024. She is an AWE (Academy for Women Entrepreneurs) Alumna, a Certified Women Creating Wealth (WCW) Programme Graduate, and the 2nd Runners-Up in the Women Creating Wealth Jumpstarters 2025 competition. Her mission is driven by personal experience and a desire to uplift marginalized groups through sustainable economic empowerment.
